More Than a Label: Revino Uses Business as a Force for Good
At Revino, our mission has always been to revive the ecosystem of returnable glass bottles and lead the #ReuseRevolution. But as we’ve grown, we’ve realized that a circular economy requires more than just better infrastructure; it requires a rudimentary shift in how a business exists in the world.
That’s why we are incredibly proud to announce that Revino is officially a Certified B Corp.
“This assessment took intentional time—not only to understand the scope of the commitment but to build our business to succeed as a B Corp from day one. We’re thrilled to be a champion for this movement and look forward to helping other companies join the ranks.” — Keenan O’Hern, Revino CEO
Being a B Corp means meeting rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. While the median score for ordinary businesses is 50.9, Revino earned an overall B Impact Score of 93.6. For us, this isn’t just a trophy for the shelf. It’s a roadmap for how we treat our workers, our community, and our planet. As newcomers to the B Corp world, we’re eager to learn, and we’ve already loved engaging locally with B PDX and our fellow partners. From managing water and chemical usage in our washing facilities to building a transparent, accessible supply chain, every decision we make is filtered through two main questions:
This year’s B Corp Month theme is "Gen B" (Generation B). It’s a reminder that being part of this movement isn’t about when you were born, but about a shared belief that business must be better.
At Revino, we work collaboratively with existing infrastructure and local businesses to turn sustainable dreams into habitual changes. Our Reuse Development Director, Callie Edwards, puts it best: "Joining the B Corp community changed how I see my impact on the world. I’m grateful to be in a position where 'business as usual' means doing what’s right for our collective future."
You might know our Co-Founder and CEO, Adam Rack. Did you know he is the true master of "scrounging"? Nearly every item in our new Community Wash Hub in McMinnville was acquired secondhand, largely thanks to Adam. Both Callie and Adam have been working collectively to obtain needed items, but Adam has the true talent.
While it feels like classic startup bootstrapping, it’s actually a deeply intentional choice. If we are asking the world to reuse bottles, we should be the first to reuse everything else. A few of our favorite "B-wins" include:
It's not too surprising that Oregon has more Certified B Corp wineries than any other state. We are proud to sit alongside industry leaders who prove that the wine industry is rooted in more than just soil—it’s rooted in values. Within the Revino ecosystem alone, we are joined by:
For the B-Corp Month, we celebrated with our fellow B-Corp wineries to reward reuse, offering two free tastings with the return of a Revino bottle. Check out our socials for more details on the promotion.
The wine industry depends on the land. By moving away from a linear model and into a circular one, we aren’t just saving carbon; we’re protecting the very climate that allows our community to thrive.
We invite you to join us in the #ReuseRevolution alongside #GenerationB. Look for the "B," vote with your dollar, and help us demonstrate the massive impact packaging choices have on environmental and community health.
