In just two years since launch, Revino has turned its vision for a circular economy of returnable, reusable wine bottles into a reality. We’ve surpassed 1 million bottles sold and built partnerships with over 100 wineries and industry leaders, spanning bottle sales, pilot projects, reuse consultation, and more. With new return sites and winery partnerships continually launching, we’re expanding our reuse programs across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. We’re so grateful for your support!
1. WE ACHIEVED B-CORP CERTIFICATION:
Revino has always been a mission-minded organization. We care about a sustainable future, and our returnable, reusable wine bottles address the most carbon-taxing aspect of winemaking: the packaging. We’re thrilled to announce our B Corp Certification, as we join a worldwide cohort of businesses that prioritize purpose as much as profit.
2. NEW REGIONS SERVED:
In addition to the dozens of wineries we partner with in Oregon, we’re now partnering with wineries in Washington state and California, and have collection partnerships with multiple distributors as well as return locations spanning Oregon, with some projects in the works in Washington!
We’re also preparing to launch a Napa Area pilot collection and washing program with notable California brands, including Silver Oak, which tackles one of the most significant barriers to reuse: protecting brand identity for these large wineries. Many rely on proprietary bottle molds that are central to their brand image, and these pilots demonstrate they can maintain their unique brand identity while meeting desires of customers by participating in a reuse system.
By proving the logistics and economics of small-scale tasting room collection and washing, we hope the pilot will demonstrate commercial viability and provide data on consumer feedback, messaging, and staff engagement with reuse in their own facilities. Over time, these insights can help the industry transition toward greater standardization.
3. NEW BOTTLE MOLDS, LABEL REQUIREMENTS, & AVAILABILITY:
4. NEW SERVICES:
We remain focused on expanding our partnerships with wineries committed to using our returnable, reusable bottles to lower their carbon emissions.
When our washing facility comes online in 2026, we’ll offer washing and sanitization services to all types of beverage producers (e.g., beer, kombucha, etc.), allowing them to reclaim and reuse their own bottles repeatedly. Glass is not a single-use package.
5. NEW FUNDING:
Early this month, Revino received a $250,000 funding package from Business Oregon’s Strategic Reserve Fund to support the development of our glass bottle washing facility in the Portland metro area.
Oregon’s wine industry generates $8 billion in economic activity, employs more than 40,000 people, and is increasingly constrained by an unreliable supply chain for glass bottles. This investment by Business Oregon helps curb that by building a circular economy for glass bottles right here within the state.
ABOUT REVINO: Revino provides wine bottle reclamation and sanitation services to Oregon wine producers while building a robust local and sustainable glass supply network. Their process operates in an infinite loop starting with bottle manufacturing and distribution, moving to consumption and redemption, and ending with bottle sanitization and reuse. Through their revolutionary RGBs and certified quality washing processes, Revino empowers wineries to embrace sustainability and make a significant positive impact on the environment.
