Pour with Purpose: New Seasons Market Announces Revino Bottle Reuse Program

PORTLAND, Ore. | May 26, 2026 – Customers at New Seasons Market will now have a
more sustainable way to enjoy some of their favorite wines. Through a new partnership
with Revino, a company offering returnable and reusable wine bottle systems to
wineries and beverage makers, New Seasons Market has become Revino’s first grocery
chain partner. 

Revino is a sustainability-focused company transforming the wine industry through
returnable and reusable glass-bottle systems that reduce carbon emissions by up to
85% compared to standard single-use bottles. The company supplies durable, reusable
bottles to partner with wineries and beverage producers, who then handle the bottling
themselves. These bottles are carbon-neutral after three reuses but are designed to be
returned, cleaned, and reused up to 50 times. Revino’s goal is to significantly reduce
glass waste, lower carbon emissions associated with bottle production and create a
scalable model for reuse across the beverage industry.

The program is designed to be simple and convenient. Shoppers can purchase wine in
reusable Revino bottles at any New Seasons Market location. After enjoying the wine,
customers can return the empty Revino bottles, purchased from the grocer or directly
from wineries, at the front end of the store, where a cashier will process the return.
Customers who are part of Neighbor Rewards, New Seasons Market’s free loyalty
program available to all shoppers with no sign-up fee, will earn 10 points per
returned bottle, with a maximum of 6 bottles per day. Returned bottles are then
professionally cleaned and recirculated for reuse, creating a closed-loop system
that helps reduce the need for new glass production.  

This initiative builds on New Seasons Market’s broader sustainability efforts, which
include in-store recycling options for materials that cannot be recycled at home, such
as plastic film and #1 PET plastics. By introducing Revino’s returnable, reusable wine
bottles, New Seasons Market continues to expand opportunities for customers
to participate in more environmentally responsible shopping habits while supporting
innovative solutions that reduce waste.
